Pregnant on implanon?

My wife is on the implant (or implanon) she has been on it for a little less than a year. Her periods have always been pretty normal though. She is like 14 days late now, she is urinating more often, and is getting queasy in the morning (but not throwing up) She insists that she's not pregnant because she says the implant is too effective, i think she's pregnant but she won't take a test. Every other time she was pregnant i got the symptoms and i have been feeling horrible.
