Super Mario 64 DS Help!?

How do you get past the level 'Snowman's lost his head' on the world 'Cool, cool mountain'? I know where the snowman's head and body is, and the body does roll, but how do I lead him TO the body? He follows me until I get close to the head, then he just falls off of the cliff! And you cant roll the body, because when you do you lose a life because he rolls over you (even from behind!) How do I get past this! (oh yeah, and this is for the Nintendo DS)
