How to repair a broken sprinkler head on septic system?

Our septic system has a break at the first sprinkler just outside of the main tank. This head has proved to be too close to the house and was wondering if it would be possible to cap this off or cut out this section of line and replace with something that would byp that head and just use the remaining two sprinklers further out in the yard, and if so how?
