Question about a felony & firearms?
He is not allowed to be around firearms unless it was over 10 years ago. This does not apply to all felons like most people on here will tell you. This only applies to people convicted of certain felonies which are defined as enumerated felonies. Enumerated felonies are felonies such a Burglary, Possession Of A CDS, Homicide, Kidnapping, etc. He was convicted of burglary which is an enumerated felony so he can not be in a place where he could potentialy possess a gun even though it's a controlled enviroment. After 10 years, he can possibly possess a firearm again. This 10 years does not include jail time. This 10 years starts after the completion of sentence, parole, and/or probation. I knew you would get that response! I worked on a task force responsible for making fireams arrests and prosecutions.
