Why is it that some people don't wash their hair sometimes? i.e. metal band dudes, etc

Like I saw some people who are into metal and stuff and their hair's all greasy all the time. Chad Krouger's hair is always greasy looking. And I also noticed it when Adam Sandler filmed the movie Little Nicky as his hair was greasy in some scenes.
